With Xi Jiao (Shui Niu Jiao), for rashes due to Blood Heat.
With Mu Dan Pi, for Ying and Xue Stage Heat with a high fever, scarlet tongue, thirst, a rash all over the body, epistaxis and hemoptysis.
With Mu Dan Pi and Chi Shao, for purpura or bleeding with maculae and blotches on the skin.
With Xi Jiao (Shui Niu Jiao), Chi Shao and Mu Dan Pi, for Toxic Heat in the Blood.
Rx. Paeoniae Rubra Chi Shao 6-15g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, clears Heat, cools the Blood and relieves pain.
Cx. Moutan Mu Dan Pi 6-30g Clears Heat, cools and harmonizes the
Blood, clears Deficiency Fire, invigorates the Blood and dispels Blood Stasis.
With Chi Shao, cools the Blood and disperses Stasis, for Ying Stage Heat with epistaxis, hemoptysis, hemafecia, hematuria, menorrhagia and skin rashes.
With Chi Shao and Sheng Di Huang, for hematemesis and epistaxis due to Heat in the Xue level.
